JOB FUNCTIONS
-
Manage loading operations to reduce load errors ensuring that order accuracy is within targets established by management
-
Continually drive improvements to productivity (e.g. cases per hour)
-
Generate pick tickets and truck load-outs from the computerized order generation system
-
Communicate with sales staff to manage any stock-outs or last minute order additions
-
Participate in the interview process to select and hire the best warehouse staff in the market
-
Coordinate, manage and assist if necessary picking warehouse staff to handle daily volume to maximize productivity
-
Provide night warehouse personnel with safety training, ensure warehouse staff follow all safety procedures and develop recommendations to continually improve safety
-
Supervise warehouse inventory rotation ensuring the oldest product is pulled and loaded first onto delivery vehicles
-
Track nightly performance metrics (e.g. cases per hour & miss-picks)

Assign and monitor work to maintain proper maintenance and cleanliness of the warehouse (nightly clean-up procedures)

Perform evaluations of direct reports, documenting, discussing, and taking corrective action if necessary

All other duties as assigned by Operations Manager
qualifications
-
Experience in supervising a front-line crew, ideally in a warehouse environment
-
Experience with a product picking and loading operation
-
Experience operating powered industrial trucks (e.g. forklifts, electric pallet jacks) as well as training others on their operation

Experience with warehouse / inventory management systems and hands-on experience with Microsoft Office
-
Food and/or beverage distribution experience is a plus
-
Strong leadership skills that include effective time management, prioritizing and delegation

Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or willingness to obtain a CDL is a plus (to move trucks if needed)

Ability to lift up to 165 pounds multiple times (to move kegs from time-to-time)
